Terms of Service

Simple tools. Clear responsibilities.

These terms explain what you can expect from NoUpload App—and what we ask of you when you use our free, browser-based tools.

Effective August 2, 2026

The short version

A fair-use agreement for free local tools

Provided as is

The tools are free and come without a promise that every result will be perfect.

Keep your original

You are responsible for backups and for checking output before using it.

Use your own files

Only process files you own or have permission and legal authority to use.

Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using NoUpload App, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

What NoUpload App provides

NoUpload App provides free file utilities that run in your web browser. Tools may use JavaScript, WebAssembly, or an on-device model. Your selected source files and processed results are not intentionally transmitted to or stored on a NoUpload App server.

The service is provided for convenience and general-purpose use. It is not a professional archival, legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or forensic service. You remain responsible for deciding whether a tool and its output are suitable for your purpose.

Keep an untouched backup. Browser tabs can close, devices can run out of memory, and processing can fail. Do not use the only copy of an important file.

Your files, rights, and results

You retain your rights in the files you process and in the results created from them. Because processing occurs on your device, NoUpload App does not claim ownership of those files or results.

You may only select, process, convert, edit, or download a file when you own it or have all permissions, licenses, and other legal rights needed to do so. You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, quality, and content of your files and for how you use any output.

You must review a result before relying on it. Conversion, compression, optical character recognition, subtitle extraction, background removal, PDF operations, and similar automated processes can omit, alter, corrupt, or misinterpret content.

Acceptable use

You may not use NoUpload App to break the law, violate another person’s rights, bypass access controls or digital restrictions, distribute malware, disrupt the service, probe for vulnerabilities without permission, or misrepresent generated or altered content in a harmful or unlawful way.

You may not attempt to overload the site, interfere with other visitors, or use automated requests in a manner that unreasonably burdens the service. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its visitors, or others.

Third-party software, services, and links

NoUpload App uses open-source software and may link to or rely on third-party services, including hosting, advertising, and donation providers. Open-source components are subject to their own licenses, which are listed on our Open-source Licenses page.

Third-party websites and services are controlled by their respective operators. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you interact with them, and NoUpload App is not responsible for their content, availability, or conduct.

Changes, availability, and discontinuation

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue a tool or the service at any time. We do not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, compatible with every browser or device, or preserved in its current form.

Tools may download code, models, language data, or other components to your browser. A browser update, extension, device limitation, network condition, or change to a third-party component can affect performance or results.

Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NoUpload App disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and freedom from harmful components.

We do not warrant that a tool will meet your requirements; that processing will finish or produce an accurate, complete, readable, compatible, or recoverable result; or that errors will be corrected. No advice or information obtained through the service creates a warranty not expressly stated in these terms.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NoUpload App and its operator, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, content, profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or opportunity arising from or related to your use of—or inability to use—the service.

This limitation includes losses caused by a browser or device crash, insufficient memory or storage, interrupted processing, corrupted or incomplete output, recognition or conversion errors, incompatibility, security incidents, or reliance on a result.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of NoUpload App for all claims arising from or related to the service or these terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to NoUpload App to use the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 10. Donations are voluntary support and are not payment for a particular tool, result, warranty, or service level.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any non-waivable consumer right.

Your responsibility to us

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NoUpload App and its operator and contributors from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your files, your use of results, your violation of another person’s rights, or your material breach of these terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute arising from them or the service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the Republic of Korea with competent jurisdiction will have jurisdiction over such disputes.

If mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence gives you rights or access to courts that cannot be waived by contract, this section does not take those rights away. Before starting formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us and try to resolve the issue informally.

Changes to these terms and how to contact us

We may update these terms when the service, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised terms here and update the effective date above. By continuing to use the service after revised terms take effect, you agree to the updated terms.

If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later. These terms and the policies they reference are the entire agreement between you and NoUpload App concerning the service.

Questions about these terms can be sent to info@nouploadapp.com.

These terms include ideas adapted from Basecamp’s open-source policies, licensed under CC BY 4.0. They have been rewritten for NoUpload App’s service and local-processing model.
