The approved processing engine identifies the main subject and builds a transparent background on your device. When the engine is available, the status line will explain whether the tool is downloading to you or working locally.
Review the transparent result before saving it. PNG is the practical choice when you need transparency for a product image, portrait, presentation, or another design.
Images with a clearly visible subject usually give the cleanest result. Good lighting and a noticeable difference between the subject and its surroundings help the tool find an edge. Hair, fur, glass, smoke, motion blur, and objects that closely match the background can be harder to separate. If the first result is not ideal, try a higher-quality original or an image with a clearer subject.
The processing engine comes to your browser; your chosen image does not go to a processing server. A first visit may require the browser to download and prepare the tool before it can work. That is a download to your device, not an upload of your image. Your browser may keep tool files for faster use next time, but this depends on browser storage and settings.
